"Noughts and Crosses" is a novel by British author Malorie Blackman, which explores themes of racism and discrimination in a fictional world where the ruling class (the Crosses) are black and the oppressed class (the Noughts) are white. The story follows two young people, Callum (a Nought) and Sephy (a Cross), who develop a friendship and eventually a romantic relationship forbidden by society. As tensions between the two groups rise and violence breaks out, Callum and Sephy must navigate the challenges of their relationship and the world around them.
